Cat Feeders for Wet Food: What the Listings Say
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Details
Quick answer. None of the six automatic feeders in our research says it works with wet food. Every listing we captured describes dry kibble, and the features it lists (desiccant bags, kibble size ranges, rotor dispensing) are built around dry food. For each model, the listing does not say it works with wet food, so check the manufacturer’s manual before you put wet food in one. Check the current price on Amazon before you buy.
The person typing “cat feeder for wet food” wants a feeder that holds, portions and dispenses cat food on a timer. Wet food is a different job from dry kibble, and a feeder designed around kibble may not handle it. The six feeders below are the dry-food picks from our research. For each, we show what the listing says and what it leaves out.
How we chose
Everything here comes from the Amazon listing data we captured on 2026-10-17. We did not buy, measure or run any of these feeders, and specs are as stated by each seller. We compared the listings on:
- Whether the listing names wet food, canned food or pouches. None does.
- Stated capacity, meals per day and how portions are set.
- Body material, power source and any kibble size range.
- Cleaning wording, where the listing gives it.
Where a figure is a listing claim we could not check, we say so. Where two figures in one listing disagree, we show both.

What the listings say about wet food
We read each listing for “wet”, “canned”, “pouch” and “refrigerat”. None of the six uses any of them. The wording that does appear points to dry food:
- Four titles use “dry food” or “dry food dispenser.”
- Three listings give a dry kibble size range (2 to 15 mm, or 0.07 to 0.4 inches).
- Five listings describe a desiccant bag or desiccant placement for keeping dry food fresh.
- Portions are given in grams, teaspoons or tablespoons, not by can or pouch.
This is a gap in the listings, not proof that a feeder cannot take wet food. The manufacturer’s manual, or a written answer from the seller, is the only way to settle it for one model.
Worked example: a day’s portions on one feeder
Take PETULTRA. Its listing gives one portion as about 6 g of dry kibble. A setting of 4 meals with 2 portions each is 8 portions, or about 48 g of dry food a day. That is plain multiplication of listed figures, not a feeding recommendation. Wet food has no listed portion size on any of these feeders, so the same sum cannot be done for wet food from these listings. Ask your vet how much your cat should eat.
Buying criteria for a wet-food feeder
- Does the listing name wet food, canned food or pouches? If it does not, get a written answer from the seller or the manual before you use it that way.
- How does it measure a portion? A dry-food figure such as 1 tablespoon or 6 g does not tell you how much wet food a portion holds.
- How easy is the food area to clean? Yuposl, VOLUAS, IMIPAW (tray only) and PETULTRA state removable parts. ANDOLL gives no cleaning instructions in the captured data.
- Power and backup. Check the battery type before you buy. PETLIBRO lists two different types.
- Footprint. The six footprints run from 6 x 7 inches (Yuposl) to 13.58 x 7.6 inches (PETULTRA). Measure your counter first.
Mistakes to avoid
- Assuming “automatic” means “works with wet food.” Every listing here is automatic, and none states wet food.
- Using a dry-food portion figure for wet food.
- Leaving wet food in a timed dispenser without a manufacturer answer on storage. The desiccant and sealing features are described for dry food.
- Treating seller wording as proof. “Fresh food prioritizes health” (ANDOLL) and the health claim on the Yuposl bullet are seller claims, and we do not repeat them as facts.
- Ignoring a conflict. PETLIBRO’s bullets say D-cell batteries; its details table says a lithium-ion battery is required.
Who should skip this list
Skip this list if your cat eats only wet or canned food, because none of the six listings says it works with that food. For how much to feed and how often, including any change in diet, ask your vet. This guide does not give feeding or health advice.
Where a feeder fits in your home
Feeders take floor or counter space, like litter boxes and cat trees. If space is tight, our litter box guide for small apartments covers footprints in a similar range. For less cleaning work around a box, see our self-cleaning litter box guide. For vertical space in the same home, see our cat trees for small apartments guide and our scratching post guide.
FAQ
Does any feeder in this list say it works with wet food?
No. None of the six listings captured on 2026-10-17 mentions wet food, canned food or pouches.
Can I put wet food in a dry food feeder?
The listings do not say so. Check the manufacturer’s manual first, or ask the seller in writing.
Which feeder here has the largest stated capacity?
Three listings state 4 L: ANDOLL HOME (title), PETULTRA (about 16 cups) and VOLUAS (16.9 cups). Yuposl and IMIPAW state 3 L. PETLIBRO does not state a capacity.
Why do some listings give a kibble size range?
Kibble size shows whether dry food is suited to the feeder’s dispensing path. PETLIBRO and Yuposl give 2 to 15 mm, and PETULTRA gives 0.07 to 0.4 inches. The other three give none.
Should I ask my vet about wet food?
Yes. Ask your vet how much and how often your cat should eat, and which food suits your cat.
